Adventure Week This week is great for the adventure seeker. You will among other adventurous events, mush a dog team through our north Swedish terrain, drive snowmobile, meet reindeer, go ice-fishing, use snow shoes and skies. Plus you will experience sleeping right in the middle of our Swedish wilderness, in cabins or huts. When you are not camping out, your lodging will be cabins or huts. There will also be a Sauna available for use. The food during the week will be influenced by the local cuisine. Among the delicacies that we serve are: Ptarmigan, Swedish Moose, Reindeer, Hare and Char. We also often serve what is caught during the ice-fishing trip, i.e. what YOU caught yourself, together with bread and mashed mandelpotatis (a local form of potatoes that are almond shaped).We will make a one and a half day trip into the wilderness, where you will be able to mush your own team of dogs. There are herds of Reindeer in the area. These Reindeer are kept by Sami people (Swedish natives), and we will naturally pay them a visit to see how Reindeer are kept, you will also get to see some genuine Sami handicraft and clothing. Far from the reindeers quiet stride is the sound of 60 horses power gathered underneath the glassfiber hood of our snowmobiles. It is upon our snowmobiles that we travel to a loggers hut or a windsheild, where we refresh ourselves with a light meal. We then start up our engines again and head back home. We must not forget (what many call) the highlight of the week. The ice climbing. You will have the possibility to climb up frozen water. With a litle help from a rope, hatchets and spiked boots. We pick you up from and drop you off at either the airport in Umeå/Lycksele, or the railway station in Vännäs/Umeå/Lycksele . Required!!: A minimum of 4 people and a Maximum of 7.
